Meet the Team
The people behind LiveLikeMike Homes, carrying Mike's name and spirit into every home we open.

Megan Giles
Founder & CEO, LiveLikeMike Homes
Megan Giles is the founder and CEO of LiveLikeMike Homes, which provides recovery and transitional housing in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization offers safe, affordable, and dignified homes for people rebuilding their lives, including people in recovery, people coming home from incarceration, people facing housing instability, and more. LiveLikeMike Homes now runs 12 properties across Georgia and has housed more than 200 people.
The organization is named for Megan's brother, Michael "Mike" Giles, who died in 2021 at age 24. At his celebration of life, people kept saying the same words: “LivelikeMike.” Megan turned that phrase, and her grief, into a mission. Every home carries Mike's name.
Megan began her career as a labor and employment attorney after graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in 2019. In 2026 she left the practice of law to work full time on her passion: giving people in need a stable place to land and a foundation to build on.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her partner and their two dogs.
Do something nice for someone today!

John Johnson
House Manager, LiveLikeMike Homes
My name is John Johnson, and I serve as one of LiveLikeMike Homes' house managers. I first came to LiveLikeMike Homes through Fulton County Drug Court. I was given a second chance at life, and as part of it, I must complete an 18-month program. By the grace of God, I landed at LiveLikeMike Homes, a wonderful sober living community.
Since coming here, I have worked hard to stay sober. Now I also get to welcome new residents and serve as a leader for people who are just joining the program. I plan to graduate from Drug Court next year, and I'll stay at LiveLikeMike Homes until then. After that, I want to keep serving my community.

Michelle Harris
House Manager, LiveLikeMike Homes
Hi, I'm Michelle Harris! I'm a licensed CNA with a heart for caring for the elderly and for those who are sick and suffering, and a cook who believes food heals too.
I'm currently a student at the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts online, and I just started an online Addiction Counselor class, because I believe in taking care of the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.
Cooking is my greatest love. There is no better feeling in the world than seeing people smile when they eat my food. That's why my big dream is to have my own food truck, and one day, my own restaurant.
I hold a Shipping and Receiving certificate and I'm a proud 1992 graduate of Middle Georgia Tech. I love to try new things, I love to clean — I can't leave anything dirty — and in my free time I love to read, debate, dance, and meet new people.
I hope to meet you soon over a plate of something delicious!
